Welcome to Wild Crescent forest school!
We are so glad you found us! Our mission is to provide a child-led exploratory learning model in nature for kiddos! Forest schools are taking storm all over the world (thank goodness) and just now beginning to be more pertinent in the U.S.
We invite you and your family to ours! We are one of the “trailblazer” forest schools here in Colorado and are very proud of what we have accomplished so far! Most folks ask us “what in the world is a forest school?” Instructors of forest schools rarely consider them actual “schools” in which kiddos sit at desks and learn various subjects. Rather, forest schools are explosive creative learning journeys that take on all kinds of shapes for kids while being in the inspiring outdoors. Forest schools– nature based programs– can take place in woodlands, local parks, forests and so much more. They are purposely child-led which means we as instructors are not here to dictate, chastise or provide extreme structure as kids learn, play, problem solve, adapt and thrive outside. To provide a little bit more background, forest schools have further been defined as an inspirational process that offers children, young people and adults regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence, social skills and extreme intelligence through hands-on learning. Our goal is to get kiddos out of the indoors and tech world and back outside and into nature! Our curriculum is evergreen, focusing on learner-led outdoor play that allows kiddos to tap into their innate gifts, curiosity, creativity and exploration. And most importantly? Kids have a blast at forest school! We want them to have fun! Our passions revolve around the power and strength of children’s growth, education systems and building strong communities. We know the types of impact that these three topics can create for a much better world.
Wild Crescent forest school would love nothing more than for you and your family to take this journey with us through our social media channels, this website, local events and our programs. We are dedicated to continue to define the infinite amount of values that nature programs provide kids to our communities, schools and families! Thanks for stopping by and we hope you have an amazing day!

Wild Crescent Forest School is a license-exempt program because we focus on a single-skilled-building-purpose "Nature Connection." The kiddos are engaged with a single skill nature-based theme for the entire time they are with us. Forest Schools are continuing to work with the CDEC, licensing specialists, and the state to gain full understanding and shared knowledge of the definition of forest schools. And the diverse types of forest schools that are and will be available to families. We will continue to obtain proper licensing assistance for the future if and when any state standards change. Wild Crescent Forest School does have a highly detailed insurance plan set in place. Safety, fun, adventure, learning, and expanding outside in nature are of our highest priorities for children and staff.
We are a welcoming community and strive to create a culture where everyone feels seen and heard. We accept and appreciate people of all ethnicities, genders, abilities, and religious affiliations.
